Yakima visit a thrill

Cathy and I visited Yakima, Washington for three performances of “Here’s Mark Twain: one for middle school children; one for a Lion’s Club convention; and then a public performance for 300 people at Four Corners Church. The visit was a benefit for the Olde Yakima Letterpress Museum and our hosts, who founded the museum, were Dr. Ruth Bishop and the Reverend Fred Hutchinson. They could not have been more gracious, attentive or generous. The public show featured the winners of a Samuel Clemen’s Essay Contest for 6th, 7th and 8th graders. The young writers were wonderful. We had a terrific time and really enjoyed our first visit to the northwest.
